Family, Love, & DIY
While we all strive to have the aesthetics of a wedding Pinterest and Insta wedding, your wedding day is really about love, family, and unity. That's exactly what Karly and Chase leaned into. Their event was focused on the people who meant the most to them - from featuring their fur baby, Quincy to having Karly's grandma as the flower girl. These unique touches made sure the day was truly a reflection of them.
Let's talk about Karly shaking up tradition with her wedding party! Having her grandma as the flower girl and including their fur baby, Quincy, as part of the celebration was a fun, unique, and memorable way to celebrate. There was no denying Grandma was proud and honored to fill this role - complete with hints of pink in her hair to compliment her dress. Quincy, on the other paw, was more stoic in his role. He was escorted by the bride's sister and looked dapper in his tuxedo.
We can't rave enough about Chelsea Hall Photography when it comes to documenting authentic, story telling moments of the day. From the groom's reactions throughout the day to the fun on the dance floor, Chelsea and her team made sure to capture it all.
One of the most unique elements to this wedding wasn't even a thing that happened on their wedding day. Instead, it happened weeks prior. Karly is a kindergarten teacher who takes pride and love in leading and teaching her class. Her class surprised her with a mini wedding celebration of their own prior to her big day. Complete with each kid dressing up in their best and Chase coming in for a ceremony. And honestly, we think this is just the cutest thing ever!
When we first met Karly she was overwhelmed with all the things that come with planning a wedding. And rightfully so! There are a lot of moving parts to throwing an event. In her own words, Karly told us she is a type A personality who had a hard time giving up control. But she knew she needed guidance, help, and support during her wedding planning journey. The beautiful thing about working with us is we can meet you where you're at. Karly's decor was very DIY centered. She compiled the elements and passed them to us the night of her rehearsal. From there, we worked to bring her vision to life.
